Abstract
This study aims to determine the use of information and communication technology in Islamic religious education learning. The method used is a comprehensive literature review of relevant empirical, theoretical and conceptual studies in this field. This research examines the introduction of information and communication technology, the role of this technology in Islamic learning, technology-based learning methods as well as challenges and solutions in its use. The results of the research show that (1) information and communication technology such as computers, television, video and the internet can be used as effective media and learning resources to educate students, (2) The role of information technology in learning Islamic religious education can make the learning process more enjoyable. more active, productive and fun (3) Technology-based learning methods, namely interactive multimedia, hyperactive multimedia and learning presentation multimedia (4) Various challenges such as limited infrastructure, access, costs and teacher skills in its use that need to be overcome. The results of this research contribute to improving the learning process, especially Islamic Religious Education, using information and communication technology.
