PENGARUH ISLAMIC CULTURE SCHOOL TERHADAP KARAKTER RELIGIUS DAN MANDIRI SISWA KELAS RENDAH SDIT AL-LAUZAH CIPUTAT

Abstract
Character education is a fundamental component in addressing the moral challenges faced by elementary school students. One strategic effort that can be implemented by schools is the integration of Islamic school culture into learning activities and students’ daily routines. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic Culture School on the religious and independent character of lower-grade students at SDIT Al-Lauzah Ciputat. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research subjects were students in grades I to III, with a total sample of 57 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using prerequisite tests, including normality and linearity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results indicate that the implementation of Islamic Culture School has an effect on students’ character development, with a contribution of 0.2% to religious character and 2.8% to independent character. These findings suggest that Islamic school culture contributes to fostering students’ religious values and independence through consistent habituation practices. Therefore, strengthening Islamic school culture and enhancing collaboration between schools and parents are essential to optimize character education in elementary schools.
